4. Are RIOC employees, employees of New York City?: No, RIOC is a Public Authority of the State of New York, and most RIOC employees are New York State Employees.

5. Does employment at RIOC require taking Civil Service exams?: No, as a Public Authority, RIOC is not part of the NYS Civil Service Employees Union, therefore, no Civil Service exams are required.

6. Does RIOC offer benefits?: Yes, most staff member have a wide variety of benefits to choose from. Please see the Benefits Information section on the Careers page.

7. Does RIOC employ Seasonal staff?: Yes, RIOC employs a number of seasonal staff members during the summer months each year. These seasonal employees work in a wide variety of capacities.
