
(ROOSEVELT ISLAND, NY - JUNE 29, 2020) Today, Councilmember Ben Kallos and RIOC’s Acting President and CEO Shelton Haynes joined with members of the community to begin a week of free COVID-19 testing on Roosevelt Island. The temporary NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation testing facility, which is located under the Helix on Main Street, reported that it had received over one hundred visitors today and expects steady demand throughout the week. Please stop by and get yourself tested. No RSVP necessary and it is open to all. The testing facility will be under the Helix from Monday, June 29th until Friday, July 3rd from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Seniors aged 65 and older will have a separate waiting area from the rest of the public.
