In an effort to safely and smartly reopen our community in accordance with state health guidelines, a free COVID-19 Rapid Testing Site has opened to the Roosevelt Island Community and beyond!
Rapid Testing, administered by Swift Emergency Care Testing (SECT), utilizes a rapid antigen test that gives results in as little as 15 minutes to approximately 24 hours, depending upon volume of individuals tested.
Starting Sat., Feb. 20th, the Rapid Testing Site will offer polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, upon request, at the check-in desk onsite.
All insurance is accepted, so be sure to bring insurance information and ID. Without proof of insurance, the PCR test will cost $200. Results will be available within 48 hours.

How it Works: The site will have the capacity to test up to 500 individuals a day. It will operate on a pre-register and walk-in basis. This rapid tests are free of charge and no insurance is required.
Registration Challenges: Elderly, disabled (visual, hearing, or other impairments), and technology challenged individuals can register on-site with the help of healthcare staff.
