The Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) will arrange for the installation of Dedication Plaques on existing benches located around Roosevelt Island. Plaques can either be installed on the back or at the base of a bench depending on the location of the bench in question.
Dedication Plaque applications will be accepted January 1st – April 30th for spring/summer installation and July 1st – September 30th for fall installation. Applications received during installation periods will be added to the next submission period.
Installation months are May to July for spring/summer and October to December for fall. Due to the unpredictability of weather and staffing demands, RIOC cannot guarantee a specific installation date within a given season.
The donation fee after approval of plaque text and acceptance of the Bench Dedication Program Policy's terms and conditions is $75.00.
