The Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC), in partnership with New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM), New York City Health and Hospitals (NYCH&H) and The Roosevelt Island Visual Art Association (RIVAA) is seeking artists or groups to design murals as part of the Interim Flood Protection Measures (IFPM) program being deployed along the perimeter of Coler Hospital.
This Call for Artists is not limited to professional artists. Any member of the general public is invited to submit a design, of which up to ten (10) will be selected, printed on vinyl banners and attached to the IFPM. Winning proposals will receive $1,000.
