New York is currently experiencing a surge of COVID-19. In an effort to keep the Roosevelt Island community and our staff safe, Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) is taking the following precautions to help mitigate the spread:
Roosevelt Island offers several high-traffic locations for food vending. With limited food options on the island, residents always line up to experience any new delicacy. We welcome all kinds of cuisine!
Mobile food vending permits are available in both daily and monthly increments. A city-wide vending permit is not valid for Roosevelt Island. Proper city documentation and a certificate of liability must be submitted in order to receive a permit for vending on Roosevelt Island.
RIOC may adjust the fee schedule and categories at its discretion.
Attention Roosevelt Island Permit Holders: Effective immediately, the online reservation system payment option for permits will temporarily no longer accept credit card payments until further notice. Those looking to file a permit are asked to do so by submitting an online permit request and issuing payment via check or money order.
Checks can be delivered to the Permits Department at 550 Main Street or mailed to 524 Main Street, NY, NY 10044.
